Chained Soldier, originally titled Mato Seihei no Slave, began as a Japanese web manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura. Launched on January 5, 2019, on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ platform, it has been compiled into multiple tankōbon volumes, earning acclaim for its mix of supernatural action, fantasy, and ecchi themes.
The story unfolds in a world where gates to a parallel dimension called Mato have opened across Japan, unleashing monstrous Shuuki. These gates also produce a fruit known as Peach, which grants superhuman powers exclusively to women, making them the primary fighters in the Anti-Demon Corps. Men, meanwhile, take on secondary roles. The plot follows Yuuki Wakura, a high school student who stumbles into Mato and is saved by Kyouka Uzen, commander of the 7th Squad. Through her unique ability, Yuuki becomes her “slave,” transforming into a powerful form to aid in battles against the Shuuki.
