Warning: This article contains spoilers for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 11.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 11, titled True Power, was released on Thursday, continuing the intense conflict between the heroic ninjas of Konohagakure and the powerful villains powered by the Ten-Tails chakra, Jura and Hidari. Last month's chapter of the manga series written by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, showed Himiwari Uzumaki's awakening the power of the Nine-Tailed Beast within her after seeing Jura's devastating attack on Inojin. The latest chapter showcases Himiwari's incredible abilities powered by the chakra of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox (kyubi).
Himiwari's new transformation shows her long black hair raising up in large strands that resemble the tails of the Nine-Tails. Her face transforms to look more fox-like with feral eyes and whiskers. Himiwari uses her hair to grab the unconscious Inojin, and Shikadai notices that his wound miraculously closed, confirming Himiwari's healing power, thanks to the Nine-Tailed Fox's chakra.
For the first time ever, Himiwari looks ready to fight. Although she's not 100% comfortable to take on the villain on her own, she asks Shikadai and company to take Inojin to the hospital and leave so she could face Jura along, and "carry the responsibility" that comes with having the power of the kyubi. She says that carrying out that responsibility is something that her father Naruto and her "big bro" too (though it's unclear if she was referring to Kawaki or her real brother Boruto).
Himiwari vs. Jura Fight Begins
Himiwari's first big fight is no easy challenge. Her opponent, Jura, is a self-aware God Tree produced by Code's Ten-Tails, created from the chakra of an unidentified individual, so the extent of his powers is still unknown. But so is Himiwari's full potential with the Nine-Tailed Fox's chakra.
She lands the first hit, with a surprising punch that throws Jura away to the ground, but the villain doesn't seem phased as he soars to prepare to attack her. But before Jura could land to hit her, Himiwari forms a biju bomb with her tentacle-like hair, and launches it at Jura, causing a powerful explosion mid-air. Shikadai and Chocho notices the explosion from a distance, and the blast was strong enough to damage Jura's clothing.
Jura tells her that he's surprised to see her control a biju bomb and how she managed to undergo such rapid advancement even with the power of the Nine-Tails. Then it was Jura's turn to attack: He hits Himiwari with his head, pushing her away, then he slams her hard to the ground, hurting her enough for her to moan in pain.
However, it looks like her incredible healing power is able to minimize the damage. So incredible, in fact, that Jura calls it "astounding", "far beyond human and jinchuriki-level", and "something almost like what we biju possess." The Nine-Tailed Fox in Himawari's consciousness tells her that they're clearly unmatched.
Jura wins the fight, which isn't surprising, considering that this is just Himawari's first big fight. Her brother Boruto ends up saving her before Jura can hurt her further. Boruto also saves Sarada from Hidari's clutch, and it looks like the God Trees have won this time.
Despite Himiwari's defeat, the fight showed us Himiwari's raw power with the Nine-Tailed Fox that even surprised Jura. This chapter showed that Himawari has what it takes to even surpass her father as it seems that her bond with the Nine-Tailed Fox is deeper; she's not just a host, but a physical incarnation of the Nine-Tails herself. Her defeat will likely motivate her to train harder and learn how to master controlling the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox, so hopefully, we'll see a rematch between her and Jura. But for now, it looks like Boruto will have to deal with Jura and Hidari after saving both Himiwari and Sadara from them.
