Battle Spirits [Re] ZEKKAI NO KU Drops Main Trailer, New Visual, and Additional Cast Ahead of Premiere

Battle Spirits [Re] ZEKKAI NO KU has stepped closer to its October 6 premiere with a full wave of new materials. The latest entry in the Battle Spirits franchise released its main trailer, a striking key visual, and a substantial slate of additional cast members today.

The newly dropped main trailer delivers a clearer sense of the turbulent Bakumatsu-era setting, the intensity of the spirit battles, and the opposing paths of the two central figures as the story of Battle Spirits [Re] ZEKKAI NO KU takes shape.

A new key visual was also unveiled alongside the trailer. The artwork centers on a red-haired young man enveloped in swirling crimson energy and flame, with a massive phoenix spirit rising behind him and glowing red crystalline cores containing other characters floating through the frame, all under the tagline “That choice opens the world.”

Junichi Suwabe will provide the narration for the anime series.

Masashi Kudo, previously known for his character design work on Bleach and related film projects, is handling both direction and character design duties. Series composition comes from Toshizo Nemoto, whose credits include That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Siime. Production is being handled at BN Pictures.

The Battle Spirits franchise began as a trading card game created by Bandai and Sunrise that launched in Japan in 2008. Over the years it has expanded into multiple anime series and several video game adaptations, with Battle Spirits [Re] ZEKKAI NO KU marking the newest television entry in the lineup.
