After a long wait, Netflix has finally released the official trailer for Arcane Season 2. The second and final season of the phenomenal TV adaptation of Riot Game’s League of Legends has been surrounded by a lot of theories after its jaw-dropping first season finale. Thankfully, the preview has now confirmed a long-standing character theory with the appearance of Warwick.
You can watch the Arcane Season 2 trailer below:
The Arcane Season 2 trailer begins with Vi agreeing with Caitlyn that Powder, Jinx’s other name, is now gone, and all they have is the new Jinx. A menacing laugh can then be heard in the background, and Caitlyn later says she wants to hear that cackle “from her throat forever.” Vi then prepares for an all-out war between Topside and the City of Iron and Glass. Of course, this also means she must face her sister, too.
As seen in the sneak peek, Ambessa reveals the need to declare martial law to return peace to the city. Sevika then considers Topside the real enemy, telling Jinx she can rally the undercity together and calling her a symbol. As Jinx looks torn, Vi is later seen reaching out her hand, with the former revealing her plan “to watch it all burn.”
Chaos erupts in the city, with colorful explosions and battles happening here and there. Singed appears, and a furry monster, Warwick, believed to be Vander before the monstrous transformation, emerges. As a montage of scenes play, Heimerdinger, Sevika, Ambessa, and Ekko are seen joining the intense battles. A black-haired version of Vi also appears in the arena before the all-out war continues.

Who is Warwick in Arcane?
Warwick is one of the most famous monstrous champions in League of Legends. He’s a fearsome beast who stalks the streets of Zaun and has a werewolf-like appearance powered by Chemtech. Warwick used to be a normal human before he was experimented on by Singed, turning him into a monstrous beast.
During Arcane Season 1, there were theories that Vander would become Warwick. He was referred to as the former “Hound of the Underground,” which seemed to allude to Warwick. Also, when Vander ended up gaining a bestial form thanks to Singed’s Shimmer drug, the iconic theme song of the monster faintly played in the background, hinting at his arrival. The first season ended with Singed looking up at what seemed to be a silhouette of a hairy, clawed creature strung up on chains, confirming the theory that Vander would turn into Warwick in Arcane Season 2.
After the Arcane Season 2 trailer confirmed that Vander will be revived as Warwick, several questions remain about his arrival. Since Vander was the deceased adoptive father of Vi and Jinx, the upcoming confrontation with the ravenous creature of the night may either bring them closer together or drive them further apart.
Arcane Season 2 is expected to be released in November 2024, while all first-season episodes are available on Netflix.
