What is Wind Breaker Season 2 about?

Wind Breaker Season 2, based on Satoru Nii’s popular yankee manga serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket, continues the story of Haruka Sakura, a first-year student at Furin High School, known for its delinquent reputation. The series follows Sakura, who arrives in town aiming to fight his way to the top but finds himself drawn into the world of Bofurin, a group of students who use their strength to protect their community. The manga debuted in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket in 2021. As of April 2024, 17 volumes have been published. The series was among AnimeJapan 2022‘s most desired works to receive an anime adaptation. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in North America, and print copies were published in the region recently.

Season 2 delves deeper into Sakura’s journey as he forms bonds with allies like Nirei and Suo, confronts rival factions, and navigates the complexities of loyalty and rivalry. The new season adapts the manga's KEEL Arc, which follows the Bofurin first-years going against the KEEL. With intense action, vibrant character dynamics, and themes of camaraderie and redemption, the season builds on the success of its first installment, which premiered in 2024. Streaming on platforms like Disney+, Netflix, and Crunchyroll, Wind Breaker Season 2 has captivated audiences with its fresh take on the delinquent genre, backed by CloverWorks’ stellar animation.
