Alternate realities mean that there are some events that did not go as planned or went into a different path and this is what Marvel's What If...? is all about. The animated series shows the what-ifs-and-could-have-beens in the narrative of the MCU and with What If...? Season 2 coming out soon, a new teaser for the highly anticipated series has been dropped embracing the holiday spirit with Marvel. The clip shows various heroes and villains who will appear in the series once it comes out on Disney Plus.
Marvel's What If...? Season 2 is celebrating the 12 days of Marvel Christmas in its new teaser dropped today which started with Uatu telling Captain Carter one of his favorite yuletide stories of all time. The different heroes and villains are seen before a snow globe containing Stark's Avengers tower is revealed. The days started with "12 Hulks a-Smashing" as the Hulk goes all out in rage, "11 Howards Quaking" with Howard the Duck throwing some shots, "10 Rings A-Glowing" which features Shang-Chi's ten rings being wielded against who seems to be Ego, and "9 New Episodes" coming soon. Celebrate the Holiday season with a new episode of What If...? Season 2 as it comes out on a new release scheme on Disney Plus having one episode come out each day for 9 straight days considering that there are 9 episodes in the series. The series will start on December 22, 2023 and it will exactly be ending before the year ends, too. A new poster is also revealed for What If...? Season 2. Check it below:
Did the new What If...? Season 2 teaser confirm the new role of Loki in the MCU?
In the finale of Loki Season 2, the titular God of Mischief embraced a new role that he will forever be on for as long as the universe needs it to come together. He became the Yggdrasil, the tree of life in Norse Mythology and fitting enough in the new What If...? Season 2 teaser, the new role of Loki is features as Marvel's very own Christmas tree. As his new role as the holder of the tree of life, Loki's Yggdrasil became a wonderful Christmas centerpiece in the MCU.
The new What If...? Season 2 teaser also showcased a different version of Loki which is highly likely from another timeline or an alternative reality. More new stories are expected from What If...? Season 2.
Marvel's What If...? Season 2 will come out on December 22, 2023 with one episode releasing daily from its premiere on Disney Plus.
