One of the major players in the Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Black Panther which changed up the shape of how the end of the Infinity Saga would be. Albeit the short stint of the late Chadwick Boseman, his legacy lives on and it was proven in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever how much the whole MCU loves him. Marvel Studios is making a new show, an animated series, which will be out on Disney+ titled Eyes of Wakanda.

Since the introduction of the character in the MCU, Black Panther has been a phenomenon that forever changed the game in the MCU, especially in Phase 3 of the franchise. However, the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman affected the whole franchise that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was made in honoring his legacy while introducing his successor. Now, Marvel Studios just confirmed that there will be an animated Black Panther series titled Eyes of Wakanda and it is looking forward to a 2024 release on Disney Plus. This has been confirmed by ComicBook.com during the premiere event of What If...? Season 2.

Despite Marvel Studios having a ton on their plate, another project is already in the works for the franchise. The upcoming animated series Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda is said to be under production and would be making a debut in 2024 alongside another Marvel animated shows X-Men '97 and Spider-Man: Freshman Year. There are no other information shared on the animated series except that of its targeted release and its title.

As of the time of writing, there is still no confirmation whether there would be Black Panther 3. Looking at the current slate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the franchise still has a lot to focus on and there are some projects that are facing delays due to various reasons. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever already set who the successor of the hero is and while Letitia Wright's Shuri currently holds the title of being the Black Panther, the movie revealed that the late T'Challa has a son with Nakia who bears the same name as he does. With his son being introduced, this could be some sort of a soft reboot of the character but it could take some time.

Other than Eyes of Wakanda, producer Nate Moore of Wakanda Forever spoke to Collider last year and recognized that the attention on the film can potentially bring in more ideas, he reveals looking forward to the possibilities for Black Panther shows in the future, "Because of the amount of time and attention that went into this film, and frankly the Ironheart show, that is probably not as far along as people want it to be, but there are certainly great ideas that we're still talking to Ryan about. So, we'll see how far we can get with it."
