The nine-episode first season of Victoria of Many Faces signed off with its finale on Tuesday night in Japan, and the production used that close to announce both a second season and a new special episode. An official release date has not been confirmed for either follow-up. The accompanying visual places Victoria, Jeffrey, and Nonna together under open sky rather than in the shadowed spy settings that framed earlier key art.
Studio DEEN is handling animation for the series, with Nobukabe Kimura serving as director after previous work on I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. Naohiro Fukushima, known for My Isekai Life, is overseeing series composition, while Mina Osawa of An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride designed the characters and Moe Hyuuga of I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History composed the score.
The production also scheduled a recap broadcast for the following week in Japan. That special look back is set to trace how Victoria, Nonna, and Jeffrey first crossed paths, parted ways, and later rebuilt a household together. No premiere window has been attached to either the new original episode or the second season.
What is Victoria of Many Faces about?
Victoria of Many Faces began as a web novel by Syuu on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, running from September to November 2021 before a sequel started in April 2022. Media Factory later brought the story into print under the MF Books imprint in July 2022, with illustrations by Nanna Fujimi on the early volumes and later art by Komo Ushino. The light novels blend drama and fantasy with romance and spy intrigue, and Yen Press publishes the English edition.
The story follows a veteran operative who abandons her old name and trade after a betrayal inside her own agency. Under the alias Victoria, she tries to live quietly in the Kingdom of Ashberry, only to be pulled into the lives of an abandoned child and a knight whose presence makes a clean break from her past far more complicated.

Betrayed by her own organization, Chloe flees her life as a spy and starts over under the new identity of Victoria in the Kingdom of Ashberry. Victoria wants a simple civilian life, but the locals have other plans, becoming enmeshed with an abandoned girl and a knight. As the trio bonds and Victoria’s past catches up to her, the skills she perfected as a spy prove useful in her new life.
Those skills include disguise, forgery, languages, combat, and the everyday crafts she now uses to hold a civilian life together. The first season adapted that reset and the growing bond among Victoria, Nonna, and Jeffrey as old enemies and former allies closed in. The newly announced special episode and second season are expected to continue that thread, though the production has not outlined which novel material will come next.
The complete first season of Victoria of Many Faces is already streaming on Crunchyroll, where new episodes arrived with English subtitles after the Tuesday night Japan airings.
