The Marvels release date is just around the corner, with many reports recently surfacing on social media, revealing the movie’s runtime. The Marvels is going to serve as a sequel to multiple MCU projects at the same time, including Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and WandaVision. The three heroes, Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers, and Monica Rambeau, will team up in order to stop the Kree empire from rising under a brand-new Accuser.

On top of this, the three heroes will also be forced to overcome a phenomenon called “quantum entanglement,” in which their powers end up getting mixed with each other. As a result, the three are forced to continuously replace each other at a certain time and place when they use their powers. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie’s release and are expecting it to be a real rollercoaster. Even though the movie might be a rollercoaster ride, it's going to be a short one.

TMDB recently shared the runtime of The Marvels, and as it turns out, the upcoming much-anticipated MCU movie is going to be one hour and 47 minutes long. That sounds pretty short, right? However, this information hasn't been officially confirmed yet by either Disney or Marvel Studios.

Zawe Ashton’s Dar-Benn In The Marvels

The showrunner of The Marvels, Nia DaCosta, recently shared that even though Dar-Benn was taken from the comics, the villain in the movie is going to differ from the original one. The director explained that when it comes to being a Kree imperialist, the villain from the movie and the comic books are going to be the same. She shared that the writers and directors just took some of the material from the comics and decided to create the story in their own space.

One of the major differences between the two versions of the villain is that Dar-Benn was a male in the comics, whereas, in The Marvels movie, the antagonist is a female. Even though The Marvels is the latest MCU movie, DaCosta acknowledges the fact that fans might be getting bored of the genre and that she knows what “superhero fatigue” really is like. In order to fight this very thing, the director wanted to make the film as unique as possible. However, we’ll be able to comment on that once the movie actually releases, even though we are excited about it!

The Marvels is set to release in theaters on November 10, 2023.
