A vibrant new character-focused promotional video has arrived for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, shining the spotlight on the energetic and loyal goblin warrior Gobta. Voiced by Asuna Tomari, Gobta is known throughout the series for his surprising strength despite his small stature, his signature “Gobta-style” techniques, and his unwavering devotion to his leader Rimuru Tempest. The trailer, officially titled Otokogi (Manliness) MAX Gobta PV, compiles dynamic highlights of Gobta’s action sequences and key moments, emphasizing his role as a central figure in the film’s unfolding adventure.

The promotional video offers fans a closer look at how the beloved comedic relief character steps up in this new cinematic story. Produced by studio eightbit, the film continues the high-quality animation and fluid battle choreography that have become hallmarks of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise. Director Yasuhito Kikuchi returns to helm the project, collaborating once again with scriptwriter Toshizo Nemoto on an original story penned by series creator Fuse. Character designs are handled by Ryoma Ebata, while the stirring musical score is composed by Hitoshi Fujima.

Since its theatrical debut in Japan on February 27, the movie has enjoyed strong box office performance, holding a position in the domestic top 10 rankings for three consecutive weekends across 348 theaters nationwide.

This latest trailer builds excitement ahead of the film’s international rollout. Following the success of the previous theatrical entry, anticipation continues to grow for Rimuru and his diverse group of companions as they face fresh challenges in an exotic new setting. The Otokogi (Manliness) MAX Gobta PV not only showcases Gobta’s signature personality and combat prowess but also teases his contributions to the larger narrative against the stunning azure ocean backdrop. With its blend of humor, heartfelt moments, and intense action typical of the isekai series, the promotional material has heightened interest among longtime viewers and newcomers alike.
