Reki Kawahara is back in the game — literally. The Sword Art Online creator's new TV anime Devils' Crest has released its second promotional video, revealing the ending theme and two new cast additions ahead of its November 6 premiere.

The new trailer reveals that the ending theme, titled ReaL., will be performed by Soala, joining the previously announced opening theme Evolution by Ado. It also adds Atsushi Tamaru as Shin Haizaki and Ayumu Murase as Kakeru Niki to the voice cast. The second PV offers the fullest look yet at the series' action, showcasing the young cast's desperate battles inside the game world alongside the newly revealed theme songs.

Like Sword Art Online, Devils' Crest traps its characters inside a deadly virtual reality game — but with a twist that sets it apart: this time the protagonists are middle schoolers, thrown into life-or-death situations at a far younger age than Kirito and Asuna ever were. The younger cast raises the stakes considerably, trading SAO's seasoned teen gamers for kids forced to fight for survival.

Kawahara launched the Devils' Crest light novel series as his latest original work following the global phenomenon of Sword Art Online and the cult success of Accel World. The anime adaptation marks his first brand-new TV property in years, and expectations are high that it will recapture the trapped-in-a-game tension that made his name.

The full voice cast now includes Haruka Shiraishi as Yuma Ashihara, Konomi Inagaki as Sawa Ashihara, Yuya Hirose as Kenji Kondo, Satomi Amano as Minagi Sano, Yusuke Kobayashi as Teruki Sugamo, Maaya Uchida as Aria Misono, Rie Murakawa as Kai Kisanuki, and Sora Amamiya as Sumika Watamaki.

Behind the scenes, the series is directed by Kenichiro Komaya at Production I.G, with Shinji Ushiro serving as chief director, Eiji Umehara providing the scripts, Yuki Hayashi composing the music, and original light novel artist Yukiko Horiguchi handling the character designs.

Devils' Crest premieres November 6 as part of the Fall 2026 anime season and will stream exclusively worldwide on Prime Video, making it one of the season's most accessible high-profile debuts for international viewers. The musical lineup is equally stacked: Ado, one of Japan's biggest breakout vocalists, performs the opening theme "Evolution," while composer Yuki Hayashi — known for My Hero Academia and Haikyu!! — scores the series.
