The world is still mourning the sudden passing of Ray Stevenson but Star Wars fans are also celebrating his final works in Ahsoka. Not surprisingly, the late actor was also excited about the Disney+ series. Stevenson had hyped up the meeting between his character Baylan Skoll and Grand Admiral Thrawn in the show.
Ray Stevenson passed away in May but before his passing, he was able to attend Star Wars Celebration Europe where he was interviewed by Screenrant about his new role. Interestingly, the Thor star hyped up the interaction between his character and the fan-favorite Star Wars Rebels villain.
“And when you see Baylan actually get to meet Thrawn, is it the first time? Is it the last time? What’s going on again? What’s the dynamic here? And that’s another thing that the fans will discover,” Stevenson said.
It's certainly an interesting tease considering that Thrawn has yet to show up in Ahsoka. However, Stevenson has confirmed that the Imperial officer will be showing up in series and there's going to be some interesting interaction between Thrawn and Baylan. Could this mean Thrawn is finally showing up next week? Needless to say, this is one meeting we can't wait to see in the Star Wars series.
Who is Baylan Skoll?
It has already been established that Baylan is a former Jedi who survived Order 66 by fleeing into the Unknown Regions. Since the shocking Jedi purge, he has become a Dark Jedi and has been working as a mercenary for Morgan Elsbeth.
But what made Baylan turn himself and his apprentice Shin Hati into Dark Jedi in the first place? It's a mystery that has yet to be explored and we're eager to learn more about the characters in the next episodes of Ahsoka.
The fourth episode of Ahsoka has been the most action-packed episode so far and it pit Baylan against Ahsoka Tano. Although Ahsoka is clearly skilled, her injured hand allowed Baylan to get the upper hand in this fight. Hopefully, we'll get a rematch between the two soon. In the meantime, Ahsoka Episode 5 is currently scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
