It felt like the wait for Ahsoka Episode 3 was a long one, but it was truly worth it. The Star Wars series just dropped an awesome episode filled with Easter Eggs and references. However, it also featured a heartbreaking detail that reminded viewers how Kannan Jarrus continues to be a part of the story.

In Ahsoka Episode 3, Hera Syndulla meets with Chancellor Mon Mothma and a group of New Republic senators. Before their meeting, Mothma asks about Jacen Syndulla and Hera confirms that her son is also on board. When we finally see the boy, it is revealed that has been with Chopper the entire time and knows about Sabine Wren resuming her Jedi training.

It was awesome to finally see Jacen make his live-action debut and his arrival also made everyone remember Kanan Jarrus in every possible way. The boy immediately declares that he wants to be a Jedi (just like his father) but that's not the only heartwarming thing about his appearance. As it turns out, Jacen is wearing Jacen's pauldron on his little shoulder.

It's a wonderful reminder that Kanan is still very much a part of the story although he died in the final season of Star Wars Rebels. Luckily, it looks like Hera has been telling their son all about his father and Kanan is turning out to be Jacen's hero. Well, Sabine is, too, but it's clear that the boy is determined to be a Jedi as well.

We love the idea that Jacen knows about his father although he was born after Kanan's death. For now, it is unclear what role the boy will play in Ahsoka. However, there is a good chance that the boy will be joining Hera in action in the upcoming episodes. Needless to say, this is a great thing to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, Ahsoka Episode 4 is already scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on September 5, 2023.
