When leaks flood, various pieces of information are being publicized when some of those are not supposed to come out to the public. Recently, Insomniac Games faces a huge blow as a data breach hit the developer's information being revealed online where hackers threatened the developer to release confidential data in exchange for money at around $2 million. One of the information that was leaked to the public is that Sony and Marvel signed a deal for the creation of X-Men games which will span until 2035.

In a report from Cyber Daily, Rhysidia, a ransomware group, released 1.67 terabytes of data of the game developer Insomiac. This data breach includes more than 1.3 million files spanning from videos, images, personal information of the staff, and various contracts. One contract that surfaced is that one signed by both Marvel and Sony where they agreed to make exclusive X-Men games until 2035. The projects under the said contract includes all the future projects of Marvel Games being under Sony.

IGN reports that the license terms of X-Men which has a not of exclusivity indicates that from now until the end of 2035, Marvel cannot make an announcement on any X-Men games through consoles, PC, or even streaming platforms. This also includes the usage of X-Men characters for their "character advantage." The contract cites Wolverine in Ultimate Alliance being on Xbox will not be allowed under the terms of the document.
