New character teasers for the upcoming drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas spotlight the quiet emotional shift between Song Kang and Lee Jun-young as their characters begin finding comfort in each other. Produced for tvN, the series follows talented youths who meet at an arts high school and traces their journeys through friendship, love, rivalry, and growth as they mature into professional pianists. The title draws from the piano technique of four hands, in which two people perform together on a single instrument.

The first teaser centers on Kang Bi-oh (Song Kang), an international junior concours winner who lives a lonely existence despite his achievements. He longs for recognition from his family yet faces cold indifference from his grandfather, a world-renowned conductor who has little time for him, while his mother places immense pressure on him to become the absolute best. These expectations leave Kang Bi-oh burdened and disconnected from any real joy in music.

Solace arrives through Choi Jung-yo (Lee Jun-young), someone Kang Bi-oh first encountered years earlier at a piano competition. Choi Jung-yo offers to teach him how to play the piano in a fun way, helping the isolated prodigy rediscover pleasure in music. Kang Bi-oh responds by sharing his quiet desire to find a way to play music happily, signaling the start of meaningful change in his life.

Choi Jung-yo’s teaser opens with the pointed question “How can I make a living doing piano?” as he appears to be running from something in his past. The sequence reveals that circumstances once forced him to abandon his musical ambitions for the sake of survival. After reuniting with Kang Bi-oh, Choi Jung-yo gradually returns to the piano and begins pursuing his dream of becoming a pianist once more.

As the two grow closer, Choi Jung-yo slowly opens up to the care he receives. He asks Kang Bi-oh, “Why are you taking such good care of me? Making my heart flutter.” Their shared practice sessions and deepening trust hint at a friendship that will reshape both of their paths. The teasers portray two young men carrying different wounds who begin to light the way forward for each other through music.

Written by Shin Yi-won and directed by Park Hyun-seok, Four Hands, Two Sonatas explores the intense world of classical piano training at an elite arts high school. The drama captures the pressure of perfection, the rediscovery of passion, and the unexpected comfort found in a fellow artist who understands the same struggles. The second set of teasers emphasizes how these two characters move from isolation toward mutual support and renewed purpose.
