Isekai anime fans won't have to wait for long to watch the English dub version of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2!

The highly-anticipated second season of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is set to begin streaming today, and if you're looking forward to the English dub version of the isekai anime series, you can check out the details that Crunchyroll shared on Sunday. Based on Yuri Kitayama and Riv's light novel series, the anime is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 7 (effectively October 8 at 1:30 a.m.) on TV Tokyo. Crunchyroll announced that the English dub will be released on the same day as the premiere that day.

The English dub of includes:

  • Kieran Regan as Rio/Haruto

  • Madeleine Dorroh as Celia

  • Sarah Williams as Miharu

  • Emi Lo as Aki

  • Morgan Lauré as Aishia

  • Madeleine Morris as Masato

  • Fionn Kinsella as Haruto (child)

  • Ricco Fajardo as Slave Trader

  • Katie Wetch as Satsuki

  • Jack Stansbury as Takahisa


The streamer also revealed the English dub that includes Shawn Gann as the voice director, Susie Nixon as the producer, Neal Malley as the mixer, and Jose Sandoval as the soudn engineer. Jared Smith is adapting the script of the second season.

Previously, the Japanese staff of the anime revealed that Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 will feature a returning Japanese voice cast that includes:

  •  Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Rio/Haruto Amakawa

  •  Akane Fujita as Celia Claire

  • Yuki Kuwahara as Aishia

  • Marika Kono as Aki Sendo

  • Aguri Onishi as Masato Sendo

  • Hiroyuki Yoshino as Hiroaki Sakata

TMS Entertainment, the studio in charge of the first season of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, is back to produce the animation for Season 2 with WAO World. Osamu Yamasaki is serving as both chief director and series composer, Hiroshi Kubo as director; Kyoko Yufu is the character designer and chief animation director, and Yasayuki Yamazaki is the music composer.

What is Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles about?

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is based on the isekai light novel series written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. Hobby Japan acquired the series and published it under its HJ Bunko imprint since October 2015. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by tenkla and was serialized online via Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website from October 2016 to February 2017, but was discontinued due to the artist's poor health. A second manga adaptation, which has been serialized online via the same website since 2017, was released, and it was illustrated by Futago Minaduki.

J-Novel Club, which licensed the series in English in North America, shared a plot synopsis for Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles:

Meet Rio: a callous orphaned boy living in the slums. At only 7-years-old, he realizes he’s actually the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa, a Japanese university student with a tragic past. While still reeling from this shocking epiphany, Rio also comes to learn that he possesses extremely potent magical abilities and uses his new powers to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl. His good deed is acknowledged, and he’s rewarded by being enrolled into… a prestigious academy for noble children…?
