EA recently confirmed the rumors that the single-player action-adventure game based on Marvel’s Black Panther is officially in development. They mentioned that it is being developed at a brand-new Seattle-based EA studio known as Cliffhanger Games.
However, EA neither revealed the platforms it will release on or the release date, nor did they release any images or videos of their Black Panther game. They revealed that it's an original third-person, single-player adventure that was developed in partnership with Marvel Games. They also shared the logo, which is as follows:

The entire project is led by Kevin Stephens, who was the head of Monolith Productions during the development of the Shadow of Mordor franchise. EA also mentioned some others who developed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, as well as the veterans of Halo Infinite, Call of Duty, and God of War, who are already a part of the team at Cliffhanger.
Stephens opened a new EA Studio over two years ago, according to reports, but EA announced today that Black Panther is “still early in development with a long road ahead.” So, unfortunately, players will have to wait quite some time before they can get their hands on this game.
Black Panther is one of the many Marvel games currently in development at EA. EA and Marvel also signed a multi-title deal back in October for at least three action-adventure games for both consoles and PC. The prospect of a Black Panther game from some of the masterminds behind Shadow of Mordor is thrilling.
Shadow of Mordor, released in 2014, is a story-based, third-person single-player open-world adventure game that was highly praised by fans and critics for its Nemesis System. In this system, non-playable characters have the ability to remember their previous actions against the protagonist of the game and can react according to that.
Concerning Black Panther, EA said that the game intends to build a reactive and expansive world, empowering players to experience what it feels like to take over the mantle of Wakanda’s protector, the Black Panther.
Kevin stated, “We want our game to enable players to feel what it’s like to be worthy of the Black Panther mantle in unique, story-driven ways, and we want Cliffhanger Games to empower everyone on our team as we collaborate to bring this amazing world to life.”
The Black Panther game will surely be an exciting addition to the gaming universe, and we can’t wait to play it.
