Is Lupin Season 4 renewed by Netflix?
As of the time of writing, there has been no official announcement yet whether Netflix has renewed Lupin for Season 4. However, considering the length of time between seasons two and three, it is not impossible for the series to be renewed in the future, maybe not soon but it could happen. The potential of Lupin Season 4 remains with a hope for renewal and the earliest possible release of it, should it be renewed, would be by late 2024 to early 2025.
How does Season 3 set up Lupin Season 4?
Lupin Season 3 was released on Netflix last October 5, 2023. It arrived on the streaming platform with all the episodes of the series. It followed Assane Diop at his best and the series ended with a potential set up for Season 4.
Assane found out that Jean-Luc Keller, his old mentor, was responsible for the kidnapping of his mother and the one blackmailing him. When Assane was a child, he assisted in a robbery where Keller was the mastermind. When the robbery failed, Assane put the gun in Keller's hand to make it look like Keller fired it. In the end, Keller's revenge plot failed.
In the final scene of Lupin Season 3, however, it was shown that Assane was in a prison cell and he received a picture of himself as a child wherein he held a book of Arsene Lupin titled The Cagliostro's Revenge.
