Nearly a whole year’s worth of leaks later, LEGO Fortnite is all set to arrive on December 7, featuring a daring new adventure that includes some survival elements as well as crafting. In order to celebrate the launch, Epic Games recently released a brand-new cinematic trailer. Although no gameplay was featured, the trailer did provide viewers with a pretty good idea of what they can expect from the game.
The trailer kicks off with a high-speed chase scene involving Brite Bomber, who suddenly gets mysteriously transported to the LEGO world. Once she crafts herself an axe, Bomber instantly starts working on chopping down some trees and building different things to help her survive. You can watch the cinematic trailer for LEGO Fortnite below:
Even though Brite Bomber is the center of attention in the trailer, she eventually gets reunited with Peely and some other Fortnite characters, including Jonesy. The trailer mainly focuses on crafting, but we also end up getting a few glimpses of some enemies that players are going to come across, as Brite Bomber and Peely stumble into a massive mine full of monsters and living skeletons. Not only this, but we also see them getting chased by a wolf-like creature!
The trailer makes it seem like LEGO Fortnite is set to feature plenty of things that players are going to enjoy. From the looks of it, there’s a massive world that players can explore, with the crafting and LEGO elements being a natural fit in Fortnite. All that’s left is to see how Fortnite players accept the concept, but there seems to be tons of excitement prior to the game’s release.
Epic Games seems to be exploring new ways in which they can expand the world of Fortnite, and LEGO Fortnite might just be the most compelling way to do so. During a press release last week, Epic Games hinted that this "is the first digital play experience from the long term partnership between Epic and The LEGO Group."
This seems to indicate that LEGO Fortnite might just see plenty of support in the future and might even continue to grow and develop. For now, fans just have to sit back and see how things unravel in the game.
What are some of Fortnite’s new games?
It was officially revealed last week that LEGO Fortnite is only one of the three new games that are set to launch in Fortnite in the next couple of days. After LEGO Fortnite launches on December 7, Fortnite: Rocket Racing is set to come out on December 8. Developed by Psyonix, the team that also created Rocket League, Rocket Racing is an arcade racer.
However, more details regarding this game will be revealed at The Game Awards on Thursday. Lastly, we have the Fortnite Festival as the last of these three new games to be released. Fortnite Festival is a brand-new music game from Harmonix, the studio behind Rock Band. In this, players will get to create new music solos or join a band with other players. This game will go live on December 9.
