The Marvel fatigue is a term coined recently to describe the significant decline in the viewership of the MCU. This has been going on for quite some time and this year is not much good for the franchise as its titles continue to underperform. While there are still a lot of projects lined up for the MCU, a rumor suggests that the big boss, Kevin Feige, may possibly exit in the near future.
Marvel Studios reached its peak in the last decade that it went so high, it is painful to see it sink. 2023 has not been friendly to the franchise with some titles not making it to the cut of the audience like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which was supposed to be a huge film but underperformed, Secret Invasion which faced a ton of backlash, and The Marvels scoring the lowest box office opening in the entire history of the MCU. It seems as if the Marvel fatigue is already taking a toll on the MCU projects and that could factor in with the tenure of Kevin Feige, Marvel's big boss.

With the current state of the MCU, there is a likelihood that MCU's big boss may leave. Still, it remains without finality but rumors are already getting in. MCU insider and co-author of the tell-all book titled MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios Joanna Robinson recently appeared on Matthew Belloni’s podcast The Town. Robinson was asked whether there is a possibility that Feige may be leaving soon and she said that Feige wants to continue making movies:
Belloni is not ruling out the possibility of Feige quitting and jumping ship to Lucasfilm. Despite his Star Wars movie not pushing through, there is still a chance that Feige could take over Lucasfilm. She revealed:
In 2022, rumors also spread as per a report from Jeff Sneider that Feige is being "spread too thin" with a ton of Marvel projects on his plate, resulting to a decline in the quality then back to the Marvel fatigue. Giant Freakin Robot also reported that Marvel's big boss would only stay until Avengers: Secret Wars. Still, without any solid confirmation, Kevin Feige remains to be Marvel's big boss.
