The ultimate brain survival show is assembling its most fearsome lineup yet. Netflix has revealed the 16 contestants competing on The Devil's Plan Season 3, and the roster reads like an all-star game of Korea's brainiest reality competitions — past champions, legendary rivals, and prodigies all thrown into one pressure cooker.

In its announcement, Netflix revealed the largest cast in the franchise's history, bringing together winners and top contenders from across the survival-show genre. Leading the charge is Jang Dong-min, the man fans call the "god of survival." His record is genuinely absurd: five consecutive survival-show victories, stretching from The Genius: Black Garnet and The Genius: Grand Final through Society Game 2, Bloody Game 3, and Betting on Fact.

He won't be alone at the top of the food chain. Hong Jin-ho, who went from world-class professional gamer to professional poker player with 3 billion won in career winnings, is throwing his hat back into the ring after conquering The Genius: Rules of the Game. And in the reunion fans have dreamed about for years, Oh Hyun-min — the KAIST graduate known as the "human calculator" — returns alongside Jang Dong-min, reforming the legendary alliance that dominated The Genius.

The show's own history is well represented too. Ha Seok-jin, who won Season 1 with sharp insight and an unwavering straightforward style, is putting the inaugural champion's pride on the line. Kim Dong-jae, whose aggressive and unconventional play made him a Season 1 standout, returns as a world-class poker player. And Jung Hyun-gyu, the winner of Season 2's The Devil's Plan: Death Room, is back to prove his title was no fluke.

The rest of the cast is stacked with specialists. Rapper Seo Chul-gu — a prodigy who entered college at 16 — brings the analytical ferocity he showed on Bloody Game 2 and Bloody Game 3. Yurisa, who proved to be a "survival game changer" on Bloody Game 2, holds an IQ of 156, ranks in the top 1% of Mensa, and won an Asian Ladies poker tournament just six months after picking up the game.

Then there are the wild cards. Shindong of Super Junior brings the uncanny deductive skills he honed on The Great Escape. Hyeon Gyeong-ryeol, a Google employee with a doctorate from Seoul National University, showcased formidable strategic intelligence on Society Game. John Park, a Northwestern University graduate, won The Time Hotel with pure brainpower. Jaejae was a key brain on Girl's High School Mystery Class; Nucksal is an 18-year veteran rapper and one of the entertainment industry's best-known board game enthusiasts; Lee Do is a star lecturer who graduated from Seoul National University; Stella Jang is a singer-songwriter and language prodigy who speaks four languages; and Jeong Won-young is a hidden powerhouse who dominated an in-house survival competition and swept board game tournaments.

Producer Jung Jong-yeon, the mastermind behind The Genius and The Great Escape, isn't underselling it. "We've returned with the strongest cast in the franchise's history," he said, adding that he's eager for viewers to see how the survival-show debutants perform against a field packed with past winners.
