Change is coming and it is huge for the new DC Universe under the leadership of Peter Safran and James Gunn as the DC Studios Co-Chairmen and CEOs. The shake-up is getting bigger with new reports stating that the whole cast of Zack Synder's Justice League would all be replaced in efforts of rebuilding the franchise from the ground up. No one from the original team would remain, the end of an era.
Zack Snyder's Justice League team is composed of Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ezra Miller's Flash, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg. As the DC Extended Universe comes to a close this December with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, new faces are expected to arrive for the new DC Universe. Hard as that may be, the studio seems firm in the total reboot of the franchise.
In a report from Variety, none of the members of Zack Snyder's Justice League would be reprising their roles. Everyone on the team would be replaced with new faces as the new DC Universe reboots the whole franchise. The new cast of Justice League remains unknown, except for David Corenswet who will play the younger Man of Steel in Superman: Legacy.

However, there are a few exceptions to this clean slate plan for the new DC Universe. In the same report, it is revealed that Viola Davis will remain playing Amanda Waller and will be having an upcoming series, Waller. Davis is also expected to appear in the new Superman movie.
Another exception is John Cena who plays Peacemaker. Cena is expected to reprise his role as Peacemaker Season 2 is given a green light. James Gunn will direct the sequel to Peacemaker. Xolo Maridueña who plays Blue Beetle will also remain in the new DC Universe.
The last release of the DC Extended Universe will be Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom which is currently slated for release on December 20, 2023. This marks the end of an era. But for the new DC Universe, 2024 is expected to be the start of something new for the franchise.
