Wonder Woman 3 is back on track. Gal Gadot has just confirmed that she is currently developing the third film of the DC trilogy with James Gunn. The news comes several months after the project was to be cancelled as DC Studios announced a new slate of movies.

Back in December 2022, several reports purported that Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3 is no longer moving forward. This was later confirmed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and announced a list of new projects. Still, Gunn had admitted that he wants Gal Gadot to continue playing Diana Prince in the new DC Universe.

Amazingly, Gunn's wish has finally come true. In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Gal Gadot revealed that she will be developing Wonder Woman 3 along with Gunn and Safran. The Heart of Stone star then pointed out that she is eager to play Diana Prince all over again.

"I love portraying Wonder Woman," Gadot said. "It's so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we're gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together."

This is awesome news considering that fans were worried that the project has been canned. However, it's clear that Gunn and Safran are determined to keep Gadot as a major part of the DC Universe. With that in mind, we can't wait to get more updates on the film in the next few weeks.

Gal Gadot debuted as Wonder Woman in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and fans immediately fell in love with her version of Diana Prince. She would later star in the wildly successful Wonder Woman in 2017 and its sequel Wonder Woman 1984 over three years later.

For now, DC Studios and Warner Bros. have not yet officially announced Wonder Woman 3. Likewise, it has not been confirmed whether Patty Jenkins will still be involved with the project. But following Gal Gadot's statement, we could be getting an announcement in the next few days.
