Epic Games has officially locked in the return of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and the rest of the Springfield crew to Fortnite. The confirmation puts one of the game’s most distinctive crossovers back on the calendar after its strong first run last year.
The official Fortnite account posted a short, nostalgic message that read “I miss my friends: Bart, Lisa, Krusty…”. That single line, paired with a teaser image, made clear the collaboration is headed for a second outing rather than a one-off.
A full reveal for the Reloaded version of the Fortnite x The Simpsons event is scheduled for July 29. Players will not have to wait long to learn the full details of what Epic has planned for this second run of the collaboration.
The original Fortnite x The Simpsons crossover launched on November 1, 2025 and ran through the end of the month as a limited mini-season. It transformed the entire battle royale island into an explorable Springfield filled with signature locations such as the nuclear power plant and Moe’s Tavern while adding a dedicated battle pass featuring Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Krusty, Moe, Ned Flanders and the aliens Kang and Kodos. Weekly content drops kept the event fresh until its finale on November 29.
During that first collaboration the map overhaul stood out from previous limited-time experiences and gave both longtime players and newcomers a fresh reason to jump into matches. The unique setting encouraged exploration beyond standard combat and helped the crossover leave a lasting impression.
That earlier event also introduced many younger players to The Simpsons for the first time through in-game content and related moments. The combination of familiar faces and an interactive Springfield proved highly effective at drawing attention to the collaboration.
The original crossover proved to be a major success for the game. It helped drive Fortnite to some of its strongest player numbers seen in a long stretch, which helps explain why Epic is bringing the partnership back in this form.
Creators will soon gain official The Simpsons tools inside Unreal Editor for Fortnite, with Epic confirming the IP is joining the UEFN program later this year. That addition opens the door for player-made maps and experiences that stay true to the look and tone of the long-running series.
