Netflix has officially greenlit a third season of its popular Korean dating reality series Better Late Than Single. The streamer confirmed that production is underway and that the search for a new group of participants has already started.
“We have confirmed the production of Season 3 of Better Late Than Single and begun recruiting cast members.” The announcement marks another chapter for the series that has stood out by focusing on people with no prior romantic experience rather than seasoned daters.
Better Late Than Single follows lifelong singles in their twenties and thirties as they receive style, health, and confidence coaching before heading to a shared retreat. Over the course of roughly nine days, the participants navigate awkward first dates, sincere conversations, and the emotional hurdles of opening up to someone for the very first time under the guidance of mentors. The studio panel that has guided viewers through the process features Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car the Garden, whose reactions and advice form a key part of the show’s dynamic.
Producer Kim No-eun, who steered the first two seasons, will return to oversee Season 3. Kim No-eun PD said, “I am grateful to everyone who has supported the lifelong singles’ first romantic challenges throughout Seasons 1 and 2. It feels like the production team has also grown alongside the program.”
She added, “Having attentively listened to various feedback, we will return with even more sincere and laughter-filled stories.” The comments reflect the production team’s intent to keep the heartfelt and lighthearted tone that defined earlier installments while refining the format based on viewer input.
Casting for the new season opened on August 19. Applicants must be lifelong singles in their twenties or thirties who have never dated and are ready to take on the challenge of a first romance. Interested candidates can find full application details through Netflix’s official channels in South Korea.
Better Late Than Single earned the Excellence Award in the Variety Category at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, recognition that underscored the show’s distinctive approach to dating reality television. Season 2 further expanded the series’ reach by ranking inside Netflix’s Global Top 10 for non-English television shows shortly after its premiere, proving the format’s appeal beyond Korea.
Both earlier seasons of Better Late Than Single and the reunion special Better Late Than Single: After Service are currently available on Netflix worldwide. Audiences can revisit the makeovers, first dates, and evolving relationships that defined the series while the production team prepares the next group of participants.
