After 17 years, Ryu Sasakura will return to the small screens with the upcoming spinoff anime Bartender Glass of God. And to give fans a glimpse of what’s to come, the anime has released major details about the series, from new key art to a trailer and main cast members. By the looks of it, the bartending prodigy will again serve the most delicious drinks his patrons can taste.

Bartender is a Japanese manga written by Araki Joh and illustrated by Kenji Nagatomo, starting in 2004 and ending in 2011. It was then adapted into anime in 2006, followed by three spinoff manga between 2012 and 2019. After almost two decades, Liber is about to produce the new anime series Bartender Glass of God.

The anime’s official website officially gives a glimpse into the series’ protagonist, Ryu, also known as the “Glass of God.” In the show’s official key art, he stands behind the counter, wiping a wine glass while waiting for new customers to come—ready to serve.

The trailer, alternatively, shows Ryu mixing cocktails while saying, “There are two jobs in this world that you must never let down your customers,” as translated into English. According to him, the first is a doctor and a pharmacist, while the second is a bartender, as the anime’s title flashes on the screen. From there, the preview introduces the other cast members fans are about to meet, from Miwa, who’s looking for the best bartender to open a bar at a hotel, to Yukari, Miwa’s apprentice, and more.
