Netflix's Geeked Week is full of surprises with the news and updates on fan-favorite titles on the streaming service. The annual event drops a huge announcement in the middle of everything with Emmy Award winning series as the streamer unveils the first look and release window of Arcane Season 2. Everyone, gear up as it will be coming out in a year!
Arcane: League of Legends first released on Netflix in November 2021 and finally, three years after, Season 2 is bound to arrive on the streaming platform on the same month as that of the first. The animated action-adventure series dropped the news that Arcane Season 2 will be on Netflix on November 2024 which confirms the rumors circulating around that the show will be out in late 2024. Mere weeks after the release of Arcane: League of Legends, the official announcement of the second season of Arcane was unveiled by Netflix and Riot. Series creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee are coming back to helm the project on Netflix. Arcane Season 2 marks the return of Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, Ella Purnell as Jinx, and Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman. Addition voice cast for Arcane Season 2 are expected to be announced soon.
What is Arcane Season 2 all about?
Netflix and Riot remain mysterious about the plot of Arcane Season 2 but the finale of Season 1 may point out where the story would be heading. Jinx bombed the Piltover chambers and the result of that remains unseen as to who would survive it and Jayce may be the top contender on who makes it out alive. The others' fate remain unknown. The bombing could sustain the independence of Zaun. With this, Vi may return to live in Ekko's Fireflight utopia but her relationship with Jinx may now be irreparable after wat Jinx had done.
Arcane is created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee based on the Riot Games' League of Legends. The series was announced during the 10th anniversary celebration of the game in 2019 and since the release of the first season of the show, it became a fan-favorite.
