Ahsoka brought the live-action versions of most of the characters from Star Wars Rebels like Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Ezra Bridger. No actor has the same methods in preparing for a role. In acting, it is "to each, his own," which means that what works for others might not work for another. As for how to prepare for a Star Wars roles, Eman Esfandi and Natasha Liu Bordizzo revealed where they stand on the debate, on whether one should watch all or not.

Eman Esfandi who plays Ezra Bridger, and he spoke at the LA Comic Con’s Ahsoka Panel (via The Direct) to reveal that he did not finish watching Rebels where he said, "I didn’t watch all of Rebels . I didn’t want to get too caught up in the younger version of Ezra. I felt very connected to an older version the way he was written."

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with SFX Magazine, Natasha Liu Bordizzo revealed that she prepared to suit up as Sabine Wren through watching all of the episodes of Rebels, "I watched everything… including the original films, The Mandalorian and, of course, Rebels." Bordizzo later revealed that she did not watch the series again nor rewatched it, "I never want to try to copy someone. And I want to be inspired by the energy they put into the character and then make the role my own.”

So far, both of them did make a choice and delivered their roles well on different levels. Sabine Wren's plot was retconned in Ahsoka where she turned out to be a Jedi but she was stuck in Peridea with Ahsoka. As for Ezra Bridger, he managed to escape Peridea and reunite with Chopper and Hera Syndulla where they can start with their stand against Thrawn.
