Dan Stevens to Voice Solitus in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past

A new villain will be emerging in the galaxy when LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past premieres on Disney+ this September.

In a thrilling expansion of the Star Wars universe, a new animated adventure is set to captivate audiences with the introduction of a formidable villain, Solitus, voiced by the versatile Dan Stevens. The four-part sequel series, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, promises to dive deeper into the whimsical and inventive world of LEGO Star Wars, bringing fresh challenges and familiar faces to Disney+. This highly anticipated continuation builds on the success of last year’s LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, offering fans a vibrant blend of humor, heart, and galactic chaos.

The series centers on a new threat looming over the galaxy, where Sig Greebling, voiced by Gaten Matarazzo, and Darth Dev, voiced by Tony Revolori, must unite their unique abilities—Force Building and Sith Breaking—to confront the enigmatic Solitus. Stevens’ character is a fallen Jedi, once a noble master to Jedi Bob, who has turned to the dark side in pursuit of Forcehold, a mysterious realm filled with discarded fragments of the past. Solitus, depicted as a Duros wielding dual purple lightsabers connected by a chain, breaks from the traditional red lightsaber trope of Star Wars villains, signaling a unique and unpredictable antagonist. His journey into the deepest corners of LEGO Star Wars lore alongside Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan), Yesi Scala (Marsai Martin), and Servo (Michael Cusack) promises to uncover forgotten pieces of the galaxy’s history, reimagining iconic elements in true LEGO fashion.

Joining Stevens is a stellar returning voice cast, including Ahmed Best as the mischievous Darth Jar Jar and Mark Hamill reprising his iconic role as Luke Skywalker in a special guest appearance. The series also welcomes Ashley Eckstein as LEGO BrickHeadz Ahsoka Tano and Ben Schwartz as Jaxxon, adding to the eclectic mix of characters. Written and executive produced by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, with Chris Buckley directing, the series is a collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group, produced alongside Atomic Cartoons. Executive producers James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler, and Keith Malone, along with producers Daniel Cavey and Dan Langlois, ensure a polished continuation of the Rebuild the Galaxy saga.

The narrative expands on the reality-warping events of the original series, where Sig Greebling’s discovery of the Cornerstone upended the Star Wars universe. This time, the stakes are higher as Solitus’ quest for Forcehold threatens to reshape the galaxy once more. The series is complemented by a new LEGO set, The Force Burner Snowspeeder (75414), featuring a flame-decorated vehicle with a detachable speeder bike, a double cockpit, and a rear stud shooter. The set includes minifigures of Sig Greebling, Darth Dev, and Solitus, the latter equipped with his distinctive chained lightsabers and a STAP for battle play, offering fans a tangible piece of the adventure.
