Flex x Cop 2 is preparing to return with a darker tone and higher stakes as Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-chae tackle a wave of brutal crimes. The new teaser highlights an expanded scale of investigations filled with life-threatening situations for the detectives. Ahn Bo-hyun reprises his role as Jin Yi-soo, the third-generation chaebol heir who became a detective and freely uses his wealth and connections to break through stalled cases.
The season shifts away from the lighter, stylish approach of the first installment and leans into intense major crimes. Detectives now confront dangerous suspects who put their lives at risk on a regular basis. This change sets up a more suspenseful atmosphere throughout the upcoming episodes.
New chaebol character Yoo Sung-won (Yoo Seung-ho) emerges as a chilling presence in the teaser. He appears with a wide smile despite blood covering his face and later shows flashes of hysterical emotion that raise questions about his true nature. In one moment he cryptically remarks that the worst thing he has ever done remains a secret, leaving his identity and past deliberately unclear.
Jin Yi-soo demonstrates clear growth as an investigator during a direct confrontation. He delivers the sharp line, “I sent you to prison so you’d become a better person, but you came back as garbage,” revealing a more commanding and uncompromising side. At the same time, new team leader Joo Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae) projects calm authority while firmly interrogating suspects under pressure.
The cases themselves grow steadily more elaborate and violent. The season opens with the discovery of a mummified body inside a suitcase and continues through a series of kidnappings and murders that escalate in complexity. Both Jin Yi-soo and Joo Hye-ra repeatedly find themselves in situations that threaten their lives as ruthless criminals operate without restraint.
Despite the danger, the pair refuse to step back from their duties. Joo Hye-ra states with conviction, “There’s no such thing as the perfect crime,” underscoring the team’s determination. Jin Yi-soo’s resources and investigative instincts combine with Joo Hye-ra’s decisive leadership as they pursue every lead against the villains.

Flex x Cop 2 begins airing on SBS on August 7 at 9:50 p.m. KST in the Friday-Saturday time slot previously held by Agent Kim Reactivated. International viewers can stream the new season on Disney+ starting the same day in available regions.
