Maya Lopez was first introduced in Hawkeye as part of the people of Kingpin and this time, she brings a whole new view in her life with her solo miniseries which recently dropped all the episodes on Disney Plus. Marvel's Echo breathes a new perspective to MCU shows through the Marvel Spotlight and so far, it has been easier to digest for the viewers being standalone. With the story of Echo ruthless and brutal, those who wants more of it surely brings in the question of whether there would be a Season 2.
Marvel's Echo follows Maya Lopez played by Alaqua Cox who found some uncomfortable truth in Hawkeye that made her question her past. With this, she traces back her past and goes back to her Native American roots where she reconnects the dots so she could move forward with her life. The series also marks the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil, and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin which directly brings everyone to the next stop, Daredevil: Born Again.
Being the first TV-MA rated series in the MCU, it opens doors to more of its kind with the rawness of the ruthlessness and brutality that the MCU could bring. It is also the very first one under Marvel Spotlight which aims to bring shows that are standalone which means that one would not need to watch the previous releases before watching it. As Echo marks all these, will it have a second season?
Is Echo Season 2 happening?
As of the time of writing, Echo has no second season. Marvel Studios has not renewed the series yet for another installment. So far, Echo has been tagged as a limited miniseries which means that it remains to be one season until Marvel Studios would have a change of heart and give it another season.
Echo ended with an all-out brawl and where Echo had to free her family from the reigns of Kingpin. She channeled within herself the powers of her Choctaw ancestors and in such a surprise, she entered the mind of Kingpin to do some healing on his pain and rage. As Maya reconnects with her family, Kingpin returns to New York City in his private jet reeling with the fact that he could not bring Maya back to his side then he seems to put some interest on running for the Mayor of New York City.
