It's almost time for the premiere of Echo and Marvel Studio has officially dropped the first action-packed trailer for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series. In addition to that, the teaser confirms the almost gratuitous amount of violence that led to Echo becoming Marvel's first TV-MA-rated series.

Marvel Studios just dropped the first trailer for Echo, giving viewers a glimpse of Maya's complex relationship with Kingpin. In the teaser, a young Maya faces difficulties communicating with a street vendor due to her deafness. The vendor's rudeness becomes a critical error as Maya's uncle Kingpin observes the interaction from a distance. The trailer hints at Kingpin's role in influencing Maya and setting her on a path towards becoming a formidable figure. As Maya grows older, it becomes clear that she is becoming just as brutal as the man who raised her. Can she change her ways and save herself before it's too late?

Amazingly, the trailer is shockingly brutal and Marvel Studios makes sure viewers will be prepared for all the violence. The upload comes with the message, "Set your Disney+ profile to TV-MA to stream." This means Echo will be the first MCU show to receive the TV-MA rating on Disney+.

What we know so far about Echo

Echo promises to delve into Maya Lopez's journey as she returns to her hometown, confronts her past, reconnects with her Native American heritage, and embraces her family and community. The events in the series take place after those in Hawkeye where Maya seemingly attempted to assassinate Fisk, only for him to miraculously survive.
