WandaVision baptizes the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the very first TV series of franchise on Disney+ and it did not disappoint! It remains one of the top billed series of the MCU as it brought to the table a whole new side of Wanda Maximoff and Vision. Years after the release of the series, fans still hope for another run of the show but this gets blurry as the director of the series gives a disappointing update on the possibility of WandaVision Season 2.
WandaVision started with a sitcom-like format that every episode showcases a year in television which turned into a surprising twisted narrative on how everything happened. The series focused on Wanda Maximoff and how she coped up after the events of Infinity War and Endgame following the loss of Vision. Overall, WandaVision addressed how heartbreaking was the loss of Vision to Wanda that she tried to make a reality of her own where she was happy and content, but all of that was just a façade that crumbled in the end.
With such a powerful series, director Matt Shakman spoke with The Direct to address the possibility of WandaVision Season 2 and unfortunately, it is something that the fans would not want to hear at all. Shakman revealed:

From WandaVision comes a spinoff series titled Agatha: Darkhold Diaries and it is a separate and distinct series on Disney+ which means that it is not WandaVision Season 2. Shakman cleared the air in the same interview:
Will Scarlet Witch return in the MCU anytime soon?
Following her reality breaking take over of Westview, Wanda Maximoff sent herself into isolation learning the Darkhold's secrets. Her story was continued in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness where she played the villain. In the end, Wanda veered off of her villainous track and decided to be the hero once more. As she took down Mount Wundagore, the place where Chton, the Elder God of Chaos, created the Darkhold, Wanda made a sacrifice of herself and fans were worried whether she is already dead.
As revealed in Marvel Studios' The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline, the book confirmed the tragic death of Scarlet Witch in Wundagore which says, "[Wanda] destroys Wundagore – and collapses it upon herself – ending two great threats to all of the Multiverse." With Wanda dead, there can be no WandaVision. However, with Elizabeth Olsen not out of Marvel yet, her return in any way possible is most welcome. Speculations arise that Wanda from Earth-838 would take over and continue Wanda's MCU journey.
WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are both available to stream on Disney Plus.
