We're still waiting for the second half of The Witcher Season 3 but some of the producers are already looking forward to the future. Tomek Baginski has confirmed that Liam Hemsworth already got into costume as Geralt of Rivia. Interestingly, the producer says that Hemsworth's version of the White Wolf "looks awesome" ahead of The Witcher Season 4 premiere.
It's an exciting week for The Witcher fans as the second volume of Season 3 is set to drop on Thursday. The anticipation stems from seeing Henry Cavill's last performance as Geralt of Rivia after confirming that he is leaving the series after the third season. Still, the producers of the Netflix show are not so worried considering that Liam Hemsworth is already set to take over the lead role.
If you're like us, you're probably wondering what Hemsworth will look like as the Butcher of Blaviken. Luckily, Tomek Baginski confirms that the Hunger Games actor has already tried the legendary silver wig and the producer assures Express Online that he looks great in the costume.
"One thing I can tell is I’ve already seen [Liam] in Witcher makeup and in the Witcher look. And he looks awesome," Baginski said. He then added that the costume is just the first step as Hemsworth still has a lot of work to do.
"The next stage will be Liam Hemsworth in this role and he will be given space, he will be given his voice," Baginski said. "He has to discover this character for himself and, for me, it is crazily exciting. Especially in the world of the books, which kind of allow this unsureness. There are so many angles on so many stories which happen in the books. So it will be a great discovery to do it again."
It's assuring to know that Hemsworth will look great in Geralt's trademark silver wig and amber eyes but there's one other thing that we still need to learn about. Will he be able to pull off the action sequences that Cavill had thrown himself into in the show's past three seasons? We're hoping that Hemsworth is ready for all the action and we can't wait to see what he will look like in the series.
The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 will consist of three new episodes that will all drop on Netflix on July 27, 2023. The Witcher Season 4 has not yet been given an official release date.
