The Endless family will be complete in the upcoming The Sandman Season 2. After introducing Death, Desire, Despair, and Dream in the first season, three key members will join the land of dreams and nightmares. Adrian Lester, Esmé Creed-Miles, and Barry Sloane will round out the seven siblings as Destiny, Delirium, and The Prodigal, aka Destruction, respectively, when the Netflix series returns.

The Endless is a dysfunctional family that doesn’t get along with each other. Destiny is known for being aloof and rarely interacts with his siblings or helps them. The oldest of the kin, he wears a cowl over his face and his realm is called The Garden of Forking Ways, which represents life’s journey. His sigil is a book that he has chained to his wrist. More of him will be seen in The Sandman Season 2.

Destruction has left the family, abandoning his kingdom, The Fulcrum, 300 years ago. He has no contact with his sibling. But despite that, he’s known for being boisterous and warm-hearted, the one who kept the family together. Destruction lives in hiding and leaves his gallery within him, inside a locked room of his house he called The Family Room. His sigil is a sword.

Lastly, Delirium is the youngest and scared of Dream. She was once known as Delight, and no one knows why she changed. Her trademark is her hair, which changes from long to shaven and red to multicolored. She, too, is known for having different colored eyes: one is blue with shades of silver, while the other is emerald green. Her realm is called Madness, and her sigil is a swirl of colors that turns black if she’s upset.

What is The Sandman Season 2 about?

The Sandman Season 2 will continue where the first season left off. The forces of hell, led by Lucifer herself, will be on the move. In the first season finale, Lucifer is plotting what to do next to destroy Dream with her half-faced consort and descendant of Lilith, Mazikeen (Cassie Clare). Hence, the upcoming new episodes will dive into that conflict. In addition, it will also explore the challenges the universe has to face after Morpheus’ absence.

You can read The Sandman Season 2 synopsis below:

When last we left Dream and his friends and foes, the forces of hell were on the move, led by Lucifer themself. The new episodes of the series will dive into that conflict and continue to explore the many challenges facing the universe in the wake of Morpheus’ century-long absence.

The Sandman is based on Neil Gaiman’s comic book of the same title, published by DC Comics. It ran for 75 issues from January 1989 to March 1996. Gaiman himself, alongside David S. Goyer and Allen Heinberg, developed the show for Netflix, and DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television produced it.
