The young Straw Hats Pirates are joining the One Piece live-action series and there's a familiar face in the crew. Christian Convery is one of the young actors who will show up in the first season of the Netflix show. If the actor playing the young Sanji looks familiar, that's because he also plays the adorable Gus in Sweet Tooth!

Netflix has unveiled our first look at the young Straw Hats Pirates who will debut in the upcoming live-action adaptation. The images feature a clear look at Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji as children. However, fans were understandably thrilled to see a familiar face in the mix.

Fans were thrilled to notice that Sanji is being played by Christian Convery. The young actor is best known for playing little Gus in Sweet Tooth and he also appeared in Cocaine Bear. Needless to say, Convery's new role is an exciting one because of Sanji's unique backstory.

Who is Sanji in One Piece?

Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates who joined the crew during the Baratie Arc. Although he was born into royalty, he fled his family and eventually entered the care of Zeff as the sous chef of the Baratie. Sanji is the first member of the crew who came from the North Blue and his life changes drastically when he meets Luffy.
