The premiere of Ahsoka is only a couple weeks away and Star Wars is making sure fans are properly hyped up for the upcoming Disney+ series. A new TV spot features a lot of new footage of the former Ghost crew members in action. In addition to that, we just got a preview of an epic showdown between Ahsoka Tano and the Inquisitorius.
It was previously confirmed that Ahsoka will feature a new Inquisitor named Marrok who is played by Paul Darnell. The Inquisitor has already been shown with a dangerous new weapon and it looks like the double-bladed lightsaber isn't the only thing he has up his sleeve. In the new teaser, it is confirmed that there will be more than one of the Inquisitorius taking on Ahsoka Tano.
The TV spot opens with Ahsoka preparing to take on The Inquisitor who whips off his cloak. Baylan Skoll points out that the Jedi are few and adds, "She's coming. We initially expect Marrok to go after Ahsoka. However, it's the Inquisitor's companion who makes the first move against the Jedi.
It's an exciting preview of things to come in the show. We also see Ahsoka asking Sabine Wren for help while Hera Syndulla states that she will always be a Rebel. The former Ghost crew members declare that they are ready to fight. We also get more footage of Chopper who looks awesome in live-action and personally, the one character I am looking forward to in the series.
Marrok is far from the first Inquisitorius to take on Ahsoka Tano. She had previously fought (and killed) the Sixth Brother in the 2016 novel Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston. She also went up against an unnamed Inquisitor in the animated series Tales of the Jedi. However, it is believed that the show featured the same Inquisitorius from the book.
Ahsoka will star Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. Hayden Christensen is also expected to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. The series is set for a two-episode premiere on August 23, 2023.
