Ahsoka star Natasha Liu Bordizzo can finally celebrate her experience on the hit Star Wars series now that the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike has officially ended. The Sabine Wren actor has kept her silence for several months but it is clear that she was eager to celebrate her debut as the Mandalorian warrior in the Disney+ show.
While the first season of Ahsoka concluded in October, the cast was previously unable to discuss the series due to strike-related restrictions. Now that these constraints have been lifted, Bordizzo wasted no time sharing behind-the-scenes photos and training videos on Instagram. The videos confirm that the Guns Akimbo star worked tirelessly with castmate Ivanna Sakhno and their stunt coordinators to perfect the fights between Sabine and Shin Hati.
Bordizzo's post includes several behind-the-scenes photos with her co-stars including Rosario Dawson, and Eman Esfandi. She also paid tribute to her late co-star Ray Stevenson and costume designer Shawna Trpcic.
Sabine's Future in the Star Wars Universe
In the first season of Ahsoka, Sabine finally had the opportunity to learn from a fully trained Jedi and access instructional materials from the Jedi's former glory when she reunited with Ahsoka. While Sabine's Force abilities were initially portrayed as modest compared to other Force-sensitive individuals, the show focuses on her training and control, emphasizing refinement over raw talent. With that in mind, Sabine now has the potential of becoming a powerful Jedi in the Star Wars Universe.
So will we get to see how Sabine's story will continue? The future of the Mandalorian's training remains uncertain, whether she returns in Ahsoka Season 2 or Dave Filoni's upcoming Star Wars movie. However, her potential in the ongoing storyline could be significant. Her Mandalorian heritage could also play a pivotal role in bridging the age-old animosity between the Mandalorians and the Jedi, setting the stage for their collaboration in the battle against Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Imperial Remnant.
The second season of Ahsoka has not yet been officially announced although it is currently in consideration. In the meantime, all eight episodes of the first season are available for streaming on Disney+.
