Ahsoka Season 2: Baylan Skoll May Play a Much Major Role Than Grand Admiral Thrawn

Ahsoka Season 2 has yet to be announced, but there are several theories already surrounding it.

Lucasfilm has yet to renew Ahsoka for another season, but fans are already making assumptions about what may happen in the series. If the renewal happens, some major characters are expected to return. But playing major roles-wise, many believe Baylan Skoll will have a bigger role in Ahsoka Season 2 than Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Sure, Thrawn is considered one of the most dangerous villains in the Star Wars universe, setting up a major conflict in the franchise’s Disney+ timeline. But there’s another formidable foe in Ahsoka, Baylan. As Ahsoka Season 2 (if it ever gets renewed) may have a different focus now that Ahsoka and Sabine are in a distant galaxy far from Thrawn, the former Jedi General may have a major role to play, especially the first season has yet to reveal his real motives for following Morgan Elsbeth to Peridea.

The previous season finale saw Thrawn escaping the Star Wars galaxy while Ahsoka and Sabine were trapped in Peridea. So, will they see each other again here if Ahsoka Season 2 happens? The answer is probably no.

The next season’s focus may be on Ahsoka and Sabine’s journey to learn more about the mysteries of the Force or find a way to return home. The former Padawan’s motive to stop Thrawn from returning to the prime galaxy was over as the inevitable finally happened in the first season. That said, his story is no longer tied to the series’ possible next installment, so it’s probably time to put the focus on Baylan.

Baylan Skoll and Ahsoka May Fight Again in Ahsoka Season 2

Like Ahsoka and Sabine, Baylan is also stranded on Peridea, though it seems intentional. The former Jedi Knight is on a journey to find the mysterious power that has been calling him from across the galaxy, and seeing the Mortis Gods statues just set up a lot of potential stories for Ahsoka Season 2.

It has been known that Ahsoka herself has a connection to the Mortis Gods after facing them in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This leads to the theory that she could become the new Daughter, representing the light side of the Force and restoring its balance.

Ahsoka and Baylan may have different reasons for being on Peridea. But for whatever evil reasons Baylan has, she may try to stop him from controlling the powerful Force they will find on the extragalactic planet. Hence, if these assumptions are true, an intense fight between them may again be seen in Ahsoka Season 2.
