Song Joong-ki may have no new projects as of late, with Netflix’s My Name is Loh Kiwan being the last, but he’s busy making special appearances on several K-dramas. After surprisingly returning as Vincenzo Cassano, a nod to his character in the 2021 K-drama Vincenzo, in Queen of Tears as Hong Hae-in’s (Kim Ji-won) divorce lawyer, he will be back to make a special cameo in Netflix’s K-drama adaptation of the 2010 French-Belgian movie, Les Émotifs Anonymes, with a working title Romantics Anonymous.
According to Entertainment Naver (translated by Soompi), Joong-ki had recently completed filming his part for Romantics Anonymous in Japan. As the claim quickly gained traction, his agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed the report and released a statement about his special appearance in the series.
“Song Joong-ki will make a special appearance in the Japanese Netflix drama Romantics Anonymous, which stars Han Hyo-joo and Oguri Shun,” a spokesperson said.
However, it remains to be seen what role Joong-ki will play or if he will reprise one of his famous characters to surprise the viewers again. Whatever the case is, it will surely be a delight to see one of South Korea’s famous actors on the small screen again.
