Fans won’t just have a chance to see Sung Jinwoo in anime, webtoon, and manhwa. Now, they can soon experience living his life as humanity’s greatest hunter in the upcoming RPG game Solo Leveling: ARISE. Netmarble, the game’s developer, has now unveiled ARISE’s global release date, which will be on May 8, 2024. Not only that, but it also reveals major details about the game, from the characters to the story and more.

Nothing can stop Solo Leveling’s success today. The game’s official website has revealed that Arise has achieved over 5 million pre-registrations and 5 million fans who have signed up in less than a week. These early birds will get the chance to enjoy limited-time rewards when the game finally launches, including Legendary Artifact Sets, a Chic Black Suit Costume for Jinwoo, two Mana Power Crystals for each attribute, totaling 10, and 100,000 Gold.

Mind you, it’s just the first set of rewards. ARISE also offers a bonus reward if fans and players alike will pre-register their email on the website. Here, they will have the possibility to unlock the character of Yoo Jinho.

However, fans should note that rewards will only be distributed once per account and are only claimable for 30 days. They will also be released on different days for each region.

What is the gameplay of Solo Leveling: ARISE?

Like the anime, webtoon, manhwa, ARISE will follow Jinwoo’s story as a weak E-Rank hunter, dubbed the weakest hunter of all humanity. But everything is about to change when he enters a deadly Double Dungeon hidden inside a lowly D-Rank gate. Jinwoo will fight the monsters but will be no match for their powers. As he accepts his fate, he will wake up with new abilities, and a quest window will appear to help him level up. From here, he will go on different quests on his own that will make him humanity’s greatest hunter.

For its gameplay, the game’s official website has revealed four key features:

  • Ever-Evolving Gameplay – Play as Jinwoo and level up by learning new skills and experience action-filled gameplay and dynamic combat through various skills and weapon combinations.

  • Join Forces with Other Humans – Team up with other hunters from the original webtoon, master their abilities, and form strategies to combine their powers to clear each gate.

  • Form Your Army of Shadows – Form your own Army of Shadows by extracting the defeated enemy’s shadows and having them fight by your side. You can be the Monarch of Shadows through Shadow Extraction.

  • Challenge Gates and Boss Raids – Create strategies using various skills, hunters, and tactics to defeat the magic beasts waiting inside every gate.
