After the premiere of the final episode of Solo Leveling Season 1 in Japan today, the official English X account of the popular anime series has announced the second season, which is officially titled Arise From the Shadow. The 30-second announcement teaser gives viewers a look back at some of Sung Jinwoo's most intense moments from the first season and concludes with a shot of him as the reawakened hunter who has leveled up tremendously.
The original announcement tweet from the Solo Leveling EN X account was shared at midnight JST with a reminder that the the Season 2 will be streaming on Crunchyroll (which also runs the page). The tweet was deleted shortly after it was posted, presumably due to it being early as the episode had just begun airing in Japan and it hasn't been released on the streaming platform in North America. A release date for Solo Leveling Season 2 hasn't been announced yet.
The first season of Solo Leveling premiered in January 2024; Studio A-1 Pictures is in charge of the animation, adapting the webtoon (originally a web novel) by Chugong (original author) and h-goon (adaptation) with art by DUBU (REDICE Studio). The anime is being helmed by director Shunsuke Nakashige.
