Over time, Alina went on a journey with a mission to fully eliminate the Shadow Fold but this will not be possible without the help of her friends.
When is the speculated release date of Shadow and Bone Season 3?
Shadow and Bone Season 3 has no release date yet. The series has not yet been renewed on Netflix and the fans are already calling for the third season of the show. With the upcoming Netflix Geeked Week 2023, the fans are looking forward to any updates as regards Shadow and Bone Season 3.
Who are the cast of Shadow and Bone Season 3?
While there is no renewal yet, Shadow and Bone Season 3 is expected to see the return of the main protagonist of the series, Alina Starkov, played by Jessie Mei Li. Alina is expected to learn how to wield her abilities without allowing the darkness to come through. Also possibly reprising their roles are Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev, Patrick Gibson as Nikolai Lantsov, Daisy Head as Genya Safin, Sujaya Dasgupta as Zoya Nazyalensky, and Joanna McGibbon as Nadia.
The Crows are also expected to return headed by Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik, Jack Wolfe as Wylan Hendricks, and Calahan Skogman as Matthias Helvar. Tamar Kir-Bataar and Tolya Yul-Bataar, respectively played by Anna Leong Brophy and Lewis Tan may also return for another season.
What is the plot of Shadow and Bone Season 3?

There is still no official plot synopsis for Shadow and Bone Season 3 but if it will happen, Season 2 has set up the next events in the series. Shadow and Bone Season 2 unveils the amplified Alina who got all the amplifiers of Morozova to finally defeat the Darkling and totally discard the whole Shadow Fold. Mal, being an amplifier himself, had to sacrifice himself so that Alina could save everyone.
Despite Baghra warning Alina never to use merzost because that could corrupt her and her powers, Alina had to hold on to the edge of the knife and use it so she could bring Mal back to life. Mal lost his ability to track after Alina had amplified herself. Mal also wanted to go on a journey of his own as he assumes the persona of Sturmhond as a privateer, assisted by Tolya and Tamar.
Nadia and Inej joined Mal and his team in search for Inez’ brother. The Crows remain at Ketterdam with Kaz. Nina becomes a part of The Crows but Matthias gets himself in danger while in prison.
Alina forms the triumvirate with Zoya and Genya. Genya will make sure that Ravka will be accepting refugees without any discrimination. Zoya, on the other hand, will be training the Grishas. As he prepares for his coronation, Nikolai notices that some remnants of the merzost of the nichevo’ya infected him.
Nikolai is now the king of Ravka and Alina is his queen. However, during the coronation of Nikolai, an assassin under the influence of the “jurda parem” was sent to jeopardize the event and massacred a lot of the guests. Alina was able to save the remaining ones but to everyone’s surprise, instead of light, darkness came out of the Sun Summoner.
Shadow and Bone Season 3 is expected to address all these like Alina exploring her new abilities and what will happen next to her plus the fact of her confusing relationship with Mal and Nikolai, Kaz and Inej’s falling out, Nina finding ways on how to take Matthias out of prison, Jesper and Wylan’s budding romance, and everyone dealing with the jurda parem.
Is there a trailer for Shadow and Bone Season 3?
Without confirmation yet whether Shadow and Bone Season 3 would happen, if and when the show would be renewed, it could probably take a year or two before the series would arrive on Netflix. As such, there is still no trailer for Shadow and Bone Season 3. The earliest possible release of a trailer or a teaser could happen around late 2024 to 2025.
