These days, most films and TV shows rely on green screen to create a new landscape for their actors to work with. However, some people criticize the method, claiming that it isn't real acting. But Emilia Clarke is ready to defend "green screen acting," pointing out that it's a legitimate method that even the best thespians are willing to try.

Emilia Clarke recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe after landing the role of the young Skrull G'iah in Secret Invasion. This puts here in a franchise that is known for using a combination of shooting on location and with a green screen.

Clearly, Clarke doesn't mind working with a green screen and is even quick to defend it. During an interview with LA Times, the former Game of Thrones star addressed the idea of "green screen acting" being inferior to regular acting.

“The stigma is that people don’t do any acting in these shows and then you’re like ‘well, then why are they asking all these great actors to do it, and why are they saying yes?’” Clarke said.

She does have a point there. After all, Secret Invasion features heavyhitters like Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle, all of whom don't seem to mind doing "green screen acting" at all. With that in mind, Clarke appears to be right about the method being just as legitimate as any method filmmakers use to craft their story.

The whole "green screen acting" isn't the only thing that has been a controversial topic for Secret Invasion. The series had previously faced some backlash after it was revealed that the opening sequence was created by AI technology.

Secret Invasion recently released its third episode which once again ended with a major plot twist. The fourth episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
