For the first time, Netflix and The Pokémon Company have collaborated to bring fans a new stop-motion project, Pokémon Concierge, featuring the fan-favorite pocket monsters. Sure, fans have seen different iterations of this huge franchise, but the new animated TV series is about to tell a brand-new story. The streamer has dropped a new trailer for the series, introducing the new character, Haru, and her fun adventures. You can see the preview below:
The trailer begins with Haru starting her work as a concierge at a very special resort, The Pokémon Resort, where the Pokémons get to rest. As the legendary Japanese singer Mariya Takeuchi’s Have a Good Time Here starts to play, the preview shows Haru’s new journey as the resort’s caretaker. As she begins her job, a woman instructs her what to do, from taking care of the Pokémons, giving a glimpse of Charizard and Charmander, to ensuring they enjoy the place.
From there, Eevee takes the screen, showing its full, cute glory. Pidgey is also seen as it directly lands in its room. “It’s the first time I’ve felt so relaxed,” Haru says as she lies on the grass. But not everything will be fun and games here, as she starts to find it hard to make the Pokémons happy.
“I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing,” Haru confesses as Psyduck sits beside her. More Pokémons then appear, like Mudkip, Magikarp, and Bulbasaur. Of course, Pikachu is also here, soundly sleeping. “Let’s have another fun day at work,” Haru quips as she wakes Psyduck. “Welcome to The Pokémon Resort.”
