One Piece Season 2 has no release date yet. The Straw Hat crew is about to set sail once more as none other than the creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, dropped the news that One Piece Season 2 is, indeed, happening! Oda thanked the fans for the support and love that the fans gave to the show and is looking forward to having the same when Season 2 arrives.
With the upcoming Netflix Geeked Week 2023, One Piece is among the shows listed and everyone is expecting that news and updates would be given for the upcoming second installment of the live-action series. Considering that One Piece just recently arrived on Netflix, Season 2 could not be expected to come out anytime soon. However, the wait could not be that long.
Speaking with Variety, the CEO of Tomorrow Studios Marty Adelstein revealed that the scripts are ready for One Piece Season 2. Adelstein provided a timeline on when to expect One Piece Season 2:
If the plan goes well for the production of the series, the filming could start by February 2024, the release of the series could be quicker than expected. Realistically speaking, the production could take a little more than a year to 18 months. With that, One Piece Season 2 could arrive sometime in mid-2025.

Netflix's One Piece almost made the impossible possible: first with the breaking of the live-action adaptation curse, and second is bringing 100 chapters of the manga to life in just eight episodes. The vast amount of material that the series brought into the screens in just a short amount of time may seem ambitious but the show managed to tell the story in a cohesive way and that leaves the fans wanting more!
One Piece Season 1 ended with the defeat of Arlong in the hands of Luffy wherein the latter frees the village nearby. As the Straw Hat crew celebrates their victory against Arlong and the Fishmen Pirates, the Marines arrive where Garp gets to talk to his grandson about the latter's dream to become a pirate. Luffy's dream finally came true as he finally gets his very own bounty poster with a 30 million berry bounty on his head and Smoker appears as he burns one of Luffy's bounty posters. Oh, and Shanks is alive, too, who celebrates Luffy's first bounty poster!
As mentioned above, the Arabasta Saga is next and the series can continue bringing another hundred chapters until Chapter 218 for that matter. From the manga series of Eiichiro Oda, the Arabasta Saga of One Piece is also known as the Baroque Works Saga which is the second saga of the source material. It is about the Straw Hat Crew entering the Grand Line where they meet the wat Laboon, then proceed to Whisky peak where the Baroque works, criminal organization of bounty hunters who would be posing a huge threat to the Desert nation of Arabasta, created by Warlord Crocodile in his efforts to conquer the kingdom and get ahold of the Pluton, an ancient superweapon. There, they are bound to meet Nefartari Vivi, a princess of Arabasta, where a war is impending because of the head of Baroque Works. Chopper is expected to join the crew as well.
