The days are going so fast, and before you know it, the second quarter of the year has ended. But before that comes, Netflix released its new TV shows and movies list in July 2024. From Eddie Murphy’s return as Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F to the last seasons of Cobra Kai, Sweet Home, and Elite to Studio Ponoc’s much-awaited anime movie The Imaginary, here is what will arrive on Netflix throughout July 2024.

After 30 years, Murphy will return as the fast-talking Detroit cop Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. The fan-favorite policeman will handle a new case with old and new friends. This time, he will even get to work with a family member. After his daughter Jane’s (Taylour Paige) life has been threatened, he will team up with a new partner, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Taggart (John Aston) to uncover a conspiracy.
Daniel's (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny’s (William Zabka) students are now preparing for their final challenge in the upcoming Cobra Kai Season 6. After being eliminated from the Valley, the three-part, 15-episode final season will see the senseis and the students decide whether and how they will compete in the Sekai Taika, the world championships of karate. With the Cobra Kai founder, John Kreese (Martin Kove), back after faking his death and escaping from prison, fans have to see his plans with his newly found freedom in the show’s final season.
Song Kang will return as Cha Hyun-su sooner than expected in Sweet Home Season 3. The final season of the fan-favorite horror K-drama will see him working together with Lee Do-hyun’s Lee Eun-hyuk to fight against Lee Jin-wook’s Pyeon Sang-wook, who plans to build a new human species with the neohumans to take over the world. However, with the end of the monsterization and the rise of the new humanity, people will find it hard to survive as they face difficult choices.

For the last time, the Las Encinas will open its doors for Elite Season 8. Like the previous season, the final eight episodes contain secrets, rivalries, corruptions, and excess true to the series’ style. It will see the arrival of the siblings Emilia (Ane Rot) and Héctor Krawietz (Nuno Gallego), the leaders of the Las Encinas alum association, and they will shake the very foundation of the fictional high school. Known for their influence, power, and corruption, they will bring chaos wherever they go and destroy the lives of whoever comes to their path. Only Omar (Omar Ayuso) will have the guts to face these two and will do everything to see them fall.
Studio Ponoc’s The Imaginary will soon hit Netflix four years after it was officially announced. The anime movie, created by the studio company founded by Studio Ghibli’s former lead film producer Yoshiaki Nishimura, will take fans to the depths of humanity and creativity through the eyes of a young girl named Amanda and her imaginary friend, Rudger. However, when Rudger arrives at The Town of Imaginaries, he will face a mysterious threat alone. Directed by renowned animator Yoshiyuki Momose (Spirited Away), the film will feature an unforgettable adventure about love, loss, and the healing power of imagination.
