Netflix recently revealed that the eighth and final season of Elite is coming on Friday, July 26, and the streamer has released a new trailer for the Spanish teen drama. The hallways of Las Encinas will finally close, but before it does, the show will feature the return of original cast member Mina el Hammani, who played Nadia Shanaa during the first three seasons of Elite. In the teaser, she's seen in a more prominent role, accompanied by piano music. She is shown getting ready before she enters a stage
"We never know how long we'll be in this world," the voiceover says as Nadia's eyes look at a classroom full of students. "We focus so much on the future that we forget the present," says a male voice, as two male students in the dark kiss each other. As she walks through the hallways of Las Encinas, her memories flash back. Watch the new teaser for Elite Season 8 below:
In the finale of Season 3, Nadia moved to New York with Lu for university, but promised her boyfriend Guzmán that she would return for him. However, in the Elite Short Stories, Nadia and Guzmán tried to make a long-distance relationship work, but the strain of it ultimately led the couple to break up early in Season 4. At the end of Season 4, Guzmán left Las Encinas with his friend Ander.
Meanwhile, Nadia's brother Omar, who was portrayed by Omar Ayuso during the first five seasons of the show, reprised his role in Season 7. The final season will introduce newcomers Nuno Gallego (UPA Next) and Ane Rot (Killer Book Club). They will be joining the cast that includes Omar Ayuso, André Lamoglia, Nadia Al Saidi, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Valentina Zenere, Fernando Líndez, Ander Puig, Iván Mendes, Carmen Arrufat, Mina el Hammani, and Maribel Verdú, among others.
