Cobra Kai students are now preparing for their big return in the sixth and final season of the Netflix series. And to prepare fans for what’s to come, the streamer has dropped an announcement teaser for Cobra Kai Season 6 to reveal its new, surprising release strategy and, of course, more action. Compared to the previous seasons’ binge-drop and usual 10-episode count, the final season will have 15 episodes divided into three parts. Part 1 is set to be released on July 18, 2024, Part 2 on November 24, 2024, and Part 3 in 2025.

You can see the preview below:

The Cobra Kai Season 6 trailer begins with Daniel LaRusso’s students starting their karate training. And upon seeing his class, he can’t help but say, “I love the smell of karate in the afternoon.” From there, a battle begins while Daniel and Johnny Lawrence face each other. The scene then shifts to Daniel acting as a referee between Johnny and Chozen Toguchi.

Anthony LaRusso and Kenny Payne are then seen in an intense karate battle inside what looks like a cage. As the training continues, Chozen breaks a piece of wood with all his might in front of Daniel. Before the preview trailer ends and shows the confused faces of the students, John Kreese appears to declare “Cobra Kai” is back while dramatically puffing his tobacco.

Aside from the trailer, Netflix has released new stills for Cobra Kai Season 6. It shows Kim Da-eun and John together, wearing their karate suits, followed by the students in their uniforms, ready to start training. Samantha LaRusso is also seen leading the girls’ practice, while Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz leads the boys.

Other stills also feature Johnny trying to fit baby clothes on his girlfriend, Carmen Diaz’s tummy; Daniel and his wife, Amanda LaRusso, are having a conversation with Chosen while having breakfast; and Kenny starting a fight with the boys. For the last two stills, the students, Daniel, and Johnny are all together and seem to be watching something unseen and Daniel acting as Johnny and Chozen’s referee.

With the success of Cobra Kai, it’s easy to see why Netflix has decided to stretch out its final season over several months. This approach has already been applied to the streamer’s other mega-successful shows, like Bridgerton Season 3 and Stranger Things Season 4. However, this is the first time it has divided a show’s release into three parts.
