One of the best things about the upcoming One Piece live-action series is the fact that it will be bring a LOT of Eiichiro Oda's characters to life. For instance, we already met the Straw Hats Pirates who will play a major role in the highly anticipated Netflix series. But now, we have our first look at Baratie owner Zeff and the brawny chef can't get more manga-accurate.

Zeff, or Red-Leg Zeff, is an important character in Sanji's life. He is a significant part of Sanji's backstory and the main reason why the boy became the assistant chef at the Baratie. We already know that Zeff would appear in the live-action series but nobody was prepared for how accurately he will be depicted in the new show.

The official One Piece Netflix X (formerly Twitter) account shared the first photo of Zeff, who is played by Eastenders star Craig Fairbrass. It's a simple image but people were instantly impressed with how similar the live-action Zeff looks compared to his anime counterpart.

We're certainly loving how Zeff was cast and Craig Fairbrass is the perfect choice for the role. Fairbrass has appeared in numerous British shows like Stargate SG-1, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Métal Hurlant Chronicles and there is little doubt that he will totally nail this role.

What happens to Sanji in One Piece?

The episode titles for the One Piece live-action series confirms that we won't meet Sanji until the fifth episode, which is titled Eat at Baratie! and takes place after Usopp joins the Straw Hats Pirates. Although Sanji is already expected to debut in Episode 5, there is a huge chance we won't see Zeff in action until the sixth episode. Nevertheless, we're already looking forward to meeting both Sanji and Zeff later this month.
